High-Performance Builders of Minnesota was founded on Azad Lassiter’s passion for sustainable homebuilding and community impact. Growing up, he spent countless hours on construction sites, learning the trade firsthand at his uncle’s company. His professional journey began at 22 when he built his first home for a Hurricane Katrina survivor with a nationwide disaster relief non-profit. Over the next decade, he gained diverse experience in disaster relief construction, high-end homebuilding, and warranty work before spending five years leading energy-efficient, affordable homeownership projects. Today, High-Performance Builders continues this legacy—helping homeowners create high-performance, sustainable homes that make a bigger impact with a smaller carbon footprint.
